Machine branding

Product graphic

The MULTIVAC word/figurative mark must be used consistently.
It represents the affiliation of each individual machine to MULTIVAC, therefore its correct reproduction is binding.

Uniform positioning is what counts

A clear and consistent positioning is important in order to present the MULTIVAC family despite the different design and appearance of the individual machines.
Fixed dimensions apply to the alignment and proportions, which are specified on the following page.

Structure of the product graphic

The product graphic is made up of the figurative word mark and the type designation.

The distance between the image word mark and the type designation is identical to the distance between the image and the word mark.

The letter and number combination are separated by a 1/8 space. Existing product graphics are to be used as a binding template for the visual effect of the spacing.

There are various possible combinations of letters and numbers. Some are described below. The exact definition is always agreed between the respective BU and Corporate Marketing.

Dimensioning of the product graphic

The starting point for each product graphic is the standard size H52, i.e. the letters MULTIVAC from the word mark are 52 mm high.

The machine name is set in the font Myriad Variable Concept Semibold SemiExtended, width -20.
The letter kerning (undercut) is optically and not metrically aligned.

Five standard sizes and their application

There are five standard sizes of product graphics that can be used for all different machines - depending on the
Place/structure - can be used: H52, H26, H13, H36 and H60.

H52
This height is the preferred standard size, which is used on machines with the typical MULTIVAC profile.

H26 / H13
These two heights are available as alternatives depending on the size of the machine type.

H30
Used for labelling the control cabinets (MULTIVAC logo only).

H36
This intermediate size is only used in exceptional cases when H52 is too large and H26/H13 are too small on the machine.
Switch cabinets with a width >1000 mm are labelled in this size (MULTIVAC logo only).

H60
This oversize is used exclusively for the labelling of enclosures.

Colour and application of the product graphics

The labelling is applied directly to the stainless steel surface for reasons of hygiene. It is etched, which results in a dark monochrome colour.

The lettering is applied to anodised aluminium surfaces using screen printing in black.

It may only be installed on a contiguous area
(without interruption).

Placement of the product graphic on the profiled sheet

The labelling of the machine is right-aligned in relation to one edge of the machine.

The product graphic is always placed on the profiled sheet, if available. The size is then H52 as standard.

The machine name (letter/number combination) is centred on the centre line of the profile.

The distance from the outer edge of the profile plate is determined depending on the size of the MULTIVAC Visual, for H52 it is 75 mm. The outer edge of the apron always counts, not that of the belt.

Placement of the product graphic
for long machines

Long machines require a special distribution of machine labelling and image word marks in order to optimally brand the MULTIVAC brand, in which case the machine labelling is often placed on the profiled sheet.

In the run-out area, the product graphic is positioned flush left with a 75 mm gap to the edge of the profiled sheet.

Shelter of the product graphics

A minimum protective space must be maintained for the product graphics.

Depending on the standard size selected, the protected space is based on the "Visual - m" figurative mark
(distance to the right) or on the "m" (distance above and below).

For all placements that cannot be clearly realised with these specifications, the positioning of the product graphic must be defined individually for each machine. Please contact Corporate Marketing (mc[@]multivac.de) for this.
