1. collection and use of personal data

You can visit our website without providing any personal details. We only store access data without personal reference, such as the name of your Internet service provider, date and time of the request, name of the requested file, page from which the file was requested, access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.), web browser and operating system used, complete IP address of the requesting computer, amount of data transferred. This data is analysed exclusively to improve our offer and for reasons of technical security, in particular to defend against attempted attacks on our web server, and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person.

The legal basis for storage is § 15 TMG and Article 6 lit. f) GDPR.

Personal data (such as name, company, address, telephone number and e-mail address) is only collected if you provide it to us voluntarily as part of your contact enquiry. We use the data you provide without your separate consent exclusively for the fulfilment and processing of your enquiry. Once your enquiry has been fully processed, your data will be blocked for further use and deleted (if necessary after expiry of the retention periods under tax and commercial law, currently ten years), unless you have expressly consented to the further use of your data.

2. contact form

If you contact MULTIVAC via a contact form on the MULTIVAC website, the data you provide will be stored so that your message can be forwarded to the correct contact person. This is done in accordance with Article 6 (b) GDPR to process your enquiry. Your data provided via a contact form will not be used for any other purposes, in particular not for advertising. After answering your enquiry, we will delete your enquiry and the associated personal data.

3. use of cookies

On various pages, we use so-called "cookies" in accordance with Section 15 (3) TMG and Article 6 (a) GDPR to make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions. These are text files that the provider of a website stores on the user's computer and can retrieve when the website is called up again in order to facilitate navigation on the Internet or transactions or to retrieve information about user behaviour.

Most of the cookies we use are deleted from your hard drive at the end of the browser session (so-called "session cookies").

Other cookies remain on your computer and enable us to recognise your computer on your next visit (so-called "persistent cookies"). These cookies make it unnecessary, for example, to fill in forms with your data again.

You can refuse the use of cookies. However, this may result in our website not being displayed or not being displayed in full or the functionality of our offers being restricted.

We use the "Real Cookie Banner" consent tool to manage the cookies and similar technologies used (tracking pixels, web beacons, etc.) and related consents. You can find details on how "Real Cookie Banner" works at Data processing.

The legal basis for the processing of personal data in this context is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the management of the cookies and similar technologies used and the related consents.

The provision of personal data is neither contractually required nor necessary for the conclusion of a contract. You are not obliged to provide the personal data. If you do not provide the personal data, we will not be able to manage your consents.

4. embedded YouTube videos

We embed YouTube videos on some of our websites. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube servers is established. YouTube is informed which pages you visit. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your surfing behaviour to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand.

When a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behaviour.

If you have deactivated the storage of cookies for the Google Ad programme, you will not have to expect any such cookies when watching YouTube videos. However, YouTube also stores non-personalised usage information in other cookies. If you wish to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in your browser.

Further information on data protection at "Youtube" can be found in the provider's privacy policy at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/

II Data protection information for our Facebook fan page Insights

Facebook Ireland Ltd ("Facebook") provides us as Facebook fan page operators with so-called "Facebook Insights" ("Insights"). Insights are various statistics that provide us with information about the use of our Facebook fan pages. You can also find detailed information on this at www.facebook.com.

In order to compile these statistics, various information provided by you (including personal data) is processed by Facebook. The personal data is processed by Facebook and us as joint controllers within the meaning of Art. 26 GDPR. Below we provide you with the essential information of the agreement concluded between Facebook and us (https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum) in accordance with Art. 26 GDPR.

Our legal basis for the processing of Insights data is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in being able to track user behaviour on our Facebook fan pages. In particular, this enables us to record the reach and effectiveness of our campaigns, postings and other activities by compiling statistics. This enables us to continuously optimise our website and our offer in line with requirements. This is also the purpose of the processing for us.

Facebook may process the following data in particular:

Date and time of the action
Country/city (estimated based on the IP address or imported from the user profile for logged-in users)
Language code (from the HTTP header of the browser and/or the language setting)
Age/gender group (from the user profile, only for logged-in users)
Previously visited websites (from the HTTP header of the browser)
Whether the action was performed on a computer or on a mobile device (from the browser user agent or from app attributes)
Facebook user ID (only for logged-in users)
The exact processing of your data when you visit our Facebook fan page depends on whether and how you use the Facebook products. If you have a Facebook account, Facebook can permanently assign the data to your account in order to learn more about you.

Even if you do not have a Facebook account, Facebook can save your data. This can be done through the use of cookies. These are usually small text files that are stored on your respective device. Various information is written to this text file, which can be read again at a later date. This enables Facebook to store and process information about you even if you do not have a Facebook account. You can find more detailed information about Facebook cookies at en-de.facebook.com.

As part of Insights usage, we only receive anonymised statistics from Facebook about the use of our fan page. We can only recognise how many users have carried out certain interactions, but not which user has carried out a certain action. The statistics of the Insights data do not allow us to draw any conclusions about a person.

Your personal data is transmitted over the Internet in encrypted form using an https certificate. We use technical and organisational measures to secure our website and other systems against loss, destruction, access, modification or dissemination of your data by unauthorised persons.
